Intensive driving lessons

Learn to drive and pass your test - fast

Do you need a driving licence fast?

Maybe you've got a new job that needs you to drive, or you need to drive an elderly or relative with a disability around.

And then you might have a long wait to get your test through as some test centres have very long waiting times.

Or maybe you just prefer to learn in one short burst.

These courses are perfect for people at Uni/college as you can fit in the course in the breaks between terms.

According to the DVSA, learner drivers need an average of 47 lessons before they pass their practical test. This can be expensive, and very time-consuming.

If you learn to drive having 1-hour lessons a week, this would take you a year before you are test ready. Even with 4 hours a week, it can take up to 3-4 months.

We can help!

We offer a range of courses from 3 days to 13 days depending on your level of driving experience at the end of which you take your practical driving test.

Please note, we only offer driving lessons for manual cars, not automatics.

We offer two options for your course:

If you're out of the area, we offer a residential course. The courses will be run around Carmarthen and we have arrangements with a local B&B or you can choose your own accommodation and the prices reflect this.

For those more local who don’t need to stay over, we can also offer the courses at Aberystwyth and Cardigan.

Please note - you need to have passed your theory test (DVSA will not allow you to book a practical test without a theory pass).

3day course (15 hours)

Recommended for very experienced drivers

You're a very experienced driver but you've developed bad habits such as...you don't pay enough attention to speed limits or you're not confident with which lane to be in at complicated junctions, especially roundabouts.

There are also certain standards of observation that you need to pass your test - using your wing mirrors, as an example, isn't enough.

As an experienced driver it is likely that you take short cuts that would lead you to fail your test.
If you now need to be able to drive to test standards  this course is for you.

Cost:
£645 (non residential)
Residential cost for 3 nights - please ask

5 day course (25 hours)

Recommended for fairly experienced drivers

You may have had some lessons, but stopped or you've been taught by your parents and therefore may have picked up their bad habits.

You need to bridge the gap between their knowledge and the standards required to pass a test.

Or you may have recently failed your test on minor issues. You've probably got between 15 and 20 hours of driving experience.

You are confident with most aspects of driving and manoeuvres, but need a final push to get you ready for your test.

Cost:

£1050 (non residential)

Residential cost for 5 nights - please ask

7 day course (35 hours)

Recommended for fairly competent drivers

You'll probably already have around 10 hours of driving experience under your belt.

You have some competence with general driving e.g. gear changing and steering, but probably haven't worked on any manoeuvres,  such as parking (forwards, backwards and parallel) . And although they no longer test it, you still need to be able to do a three point turn.

You now need to work on all aspects to become test ready.

Cost:

£1435 (non residential)
R
esidential cost for 7 nights - please ask

'I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. He made me feel at ease as soon as I got behind the wheel and whenever I found myself struggling with particular manoeuvres he’d stick at it with me and ensure I had it mastered by the end of my lesson - 10/10 instructor!!'

'I found Martin very approachable, hard-working, teaching me driving skills and knowledge in such an easy and friendly manner that's difficult to put into words. Due to his hard work and passion towards my achievement, I passed my driving test after a few lessons from him. It was so fantastic that during my test l found myself very comfortable and confident like an experienced driver although the test area was new to me.
I attribute my success to Martin's efforts and dedication he showed towards me during driving lessons. I rank Martin as my best teacher/driving instructor, having had a few others.
Briefly,I would like to recommend Martin for anyone who wants to pass their  driving test quickly and easily.
Thanks Martin
